Musical Tribute in Loving Memory of Smt. Subhadramma – 10th Death Anniversary - July 2025

​

 

On the solemn occasion of the 10th Death Anniversary of Vidushi Smt. Subhadramma, a heartfelt Musical Tribute was held on Saturday, 26th July 2025 at 5:30 PM at Ananya Auditorium, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru.

The evening began with a prayer and lighting the deepam followed by felicitation ceremony honouring Vidwan Sri M. S. Govindaswamy, a renowned violinist, for his remarkable contribution to Carnatic music. This was followed by a grand Violin Duet Concert, featuring talented artists, Vidushi. Smt. Sindhu Suchetan, and Vidushi.Smt. Smitha H. M on the violin, accompanied by Vidwan Sri Arjun Kumar on the Mridanga, Vidwan Ranganath Chakravarthy on Ghata , added rich rhythmic texture to the performance. The soulful renditions and the vibrant musical synergy on stage, leaving the audience moved and inspired.

Sri Thyagaraja Krithis Workshop & Guru Namana Program at Ballari

​

On 14th July 2017, a special Workshop on Sri Thyagaraja Krithis was conducted in Ballari by the SVSV Trust. The event featured a Guru Namana in memory of Smt. Subhadramma Venkatappa, and celebrated the 250th birth anniversary of Saint Thyagaraja.

Highlights included a Goshti Gayana of Purandara Dasa’s Pancharatna Keerthanas, composed by Vidushi Subhadramma Venkatappa.

The event began with the lighting of the lamp by 

Sri. H. S. Sudhindra, Sri. Unni Krishnan, Smt. Charulatha Ramanujam, alongside the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour.

Concert at Sai Baba Temple, Yeshwanthpur, Bengaluru

A devotional Carnatic music concert was held in 2017, where in Vidushi Ranjini Siddanthi &  Vidushi Dhanya Rashmi Ravi and team captivated the audience with their soulful performance, which included compositions on Sai Baba penned and composed by Vidushi Subhadramma Venkatappa, along with other classical pieces steeped in bhakti and tradition.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the SVSV Trust continued its musical initiatives through online performances and sessions.

These virtual programs ensured that the spirit of music and learning continued uninterrupted despite the challenges of the pandemic.

Continued Online Activities – 2021

 

As the COVID-19 variant waves persisted, the SVSV Trust carried forward its mission through more online initiatives.On 14th April 2021, a Tribute and Guru Namana was observed on the death anniversary of Sri Venkatappa.

To mark the occasion, videos by his students were shared on the SVSV Trust’s official Facebook page, honouring his legacy and contributions to music.
